Des nouvelles d'Océanie

Lovely things

Lets come back to this blog... Life didn't stop since I'm in France, and a lot of little lovely things are present around me.

Here is my mother in the veggy garden, harvesting leeks planted with strawberries in between. Hard to say if they're really companions planting as it's often written in books. But I suspect celery to be a secret friend of them. Need to experiment more. This summer is the first one for this new patch of plants.... actually, not really. Maybe fifty years ago, my grand-parents used it as a veggi garden too. I don't know the raison why they stoped. It's a good spot, south exposed, along a river, protected by trees and a wall. It's just seems to be a slug paradize... poor little lettuces!

Leeks harvest. It went very well with salmon in a quiche :)

Potatoes harvest. Delicious with leeks in a soup!

Apple time! They're very old trees, which have been planted by my grand parents

An angel ready to go out under the rain.

Three candles for my niece :)
